I bought it yesterday. I really enjoyed how Friedman explained certain plot points about the forest and such. The only issue I had was Faith's POV was horribly boring compared to Gerald's. That being said, more Gerald Tarrent=win.
I've read these so long ago, even after reading the cliff notes version on wikipedia, I have no recollection of the stories... :(
