Croatia photo album

Finally finished uploading some of my pics from Croatia on Facebook. So here's the link to the album. . .

If, after looking at these photos, you don't feel the urge to visit the Balkans, you might want to put a bullet in your head! Both Slovenia and Croatia were beautiful countries that have a lot to offer. And the Montenegro/Bosnia & Herzegovina/Serbia album is coming up!

Croatia:

Plane ticket: 1500$
Hostel bed: 20$ to 25$
Full meal with half a litre of beer: 12$
Good coffee: 1$ to 2$ a cup
Delicious gelato: 0.70$ to 1.75$ a scoop
Pint of beer: About 2.25$
Ferry ticket to the islands: 9$

Discovering a country full of culture and history, which offers terrific value for travelers, which seems to have gotten the best of what ex-Yougoslavia had to offer in terms of climate and real estate, and which has more stunning women per capita than anywhere else on this Earth:

Priceless!!!

Nice pictures Pat. Funny how some places require a certain picture, though. My wife and I were in Split and Hvar (among other places) in early July and I have many of the exact same shots as you took.

Zadar looks good. I wish we'd gone there. Next time.

I'm rather envious. Your photos are absolutely gorgeous.

Great pictures! I can't get over how clean the water looked everywhere. Even in the town marina you could see to the bottom. Usually urban water is so murky and dirty. One day...

Great pictures. Better than your SE Asia pictures. I have to disagree with the women though. E. Europe does have some beauties but Asia is where the good looking women are.

Interesting Pat, but where are all the good looking guys?

Jennifer: Sadly, to the dismay of every female traveler in Croatia, the men are nowhere near as good-looking as the women. Hard to believe, but given how gorgeous the ladies are, it's a major disappointment for girls to discover that whatever is in the female gene pool is totally absent in its male counterpart.

"that whatever is in the female gene pool is totally absent in its male counterpart." Ha! Better keep that to yourself Pat while your traveling. Don't want to stir up the locals.

Hmm, maybe Denmark or Ireland have all the toothsome men . . .
