Slow month for SF/F news, eh?

Anonymous' quip raises an interesting question. I've been reading the blog for years now, Pat, and I do wonder at the sudden proliferation of videos found hereabouts. In the past quarter alone (since mid-Dec.) we've seen a dozen videos.

Consider, in the 9 months prior, dating back to this time last year, we saw a total of 9 videos (4 of which were grouped in a single post). Is there a particular reason for the recent abundance of "interludes" (musical and otherwise) on the blog? Burnt out on focusing on Fantasy in general or just looking to introduce a new -regular- element to the site?

Or perhaps neither. Maybe it really is just a slow month for Fantasy news.

I don't mean to imply criticism, by any means. I'm just curious at the motivation, if any, for the recent increase.

Alrin: There's no rhyme or reason to it, really. Just a little something different, perhaps? A personal touch? I don't know...

Just trying to keep things fun and interesting!

It certainly does that. The Reckless Tortuga clip (Racist Elevator PSA), in particular, was funny as all sh*t. It prompted me to go and check out more of their work. Some funny stuff.

And it is interesting to see your (sometimes truly bizarre) musical tastes. Often (with something like Beck or NIN) I'm, like, "hell yeah, I haven't heard this track in years!" Other times (with something like Jay-Z or DJ Champion) I'm, like, "the poor, poor man must've sustained significant damage to his hearing if he thinks this is 'music.'" ;-)

Dude, you'd go crazy if you saw what musical tracks end up playing when I toggle the "shuffle" function on! I have very eclectic tastes, I'm told.

So stay tuned for more "bizarre" shit, my friend!:p God knows there will be a lot!

Love it, always had a soft spot for Rob Zombie and White Zombie. It always sounds good, even today.
