Musical Interlude

Other than Döner kebabs and possibly the ShamWow, Rammstein could well be the best thing to come out of Germany in many years!

Old news - but still correct. :)

Well, as being German myself I've to admit that I am no big fan of Rammstein myself. Living here in Berlin now, which is mockingly said to be the third largest Turkish City of the world: .-) However I've to say that within the last years a few great German fantasy authors emerged nearly from nowhere who - although they have not the same commercially success - can keep up with their international colleagues. They seem to be strong first and formemoust in Young Adult fantasy, though. So this might not be your cup of tea - and I am speaking *not* of Cornelia Funke. However if you like to give some a try I'd advise you to look out for Kai Meyer ("The Water Mirror" or "Pirate Curse" which is a carribean pirate fantasy with a lot of magic and great ideas and was written way before the Jack Sparrow movies here in Germany).

Erm, what's German about Döner kebabs?

Was watching a show on the Travel Channel, and the Döner kebab as we know is was created in Germany by Turkish immigrants. They don't do it quite the same way in Istanbul and the rest of Turkey. . .

Other bands play, Rammstein BURNS!!

You really need to see this band live to appreciate them.

"Links" and "Feuer Frei" are also great tunes.

Music to blast so loud the roof of your house blows off!

Ah, ok. I'll be sure to tell the Korean couple selling Kebabs on the corner here that they can drop their Turkish accent and start speaking German instead. :D
